this website is a digital archive, cataloging voice memo transcriptions recorded on my iphone. the pieces collected here begin as speech. they are then translated by speech-to-text software, edited, reformatted, and published online. i am interested in the movement of thought and the documentation of irl speech patterns. these recordings preserve moments before a thought has fully settled into an opinion, fully realized argument, essay, or performance. they document hesitation, repetition, contradiction, mistranscription, self-correction, and offer very literal slices of daily life. the website functions as both archive and artifact. the poems do not exist separately from the technologies that produced them. for now.
